B. Questions 16-20

Sensitizing students and professional groups to the sex-role differences and the functions they serve in social and business contexts is my business. I point out to audiences that women smile often, cant their heads, nod their heads, open their eyes in wide-eyed wonder, and posture themselves in positions of unstable balance. Men return smiles or not, at will, engage in far less head canting and nodding, keep their eyes relaxed, and posture themselves in stable balance. However, women in management are of particular concern to me. Managerial and professional women simultaneously play two roles, that of “woman” and that of “manager.” I suggest that they collapse the two inconsistent sex-roles into a unified whole. They can smile as they look you straight in the eye, spread out their arms, cant their head, knit their brows in thought, and speak with clear diction. A simultaneous expression of both their femininity and power will help managerial and professional women to rise to the top of the corporate ladder with their femininity intact.

18. From the passage, it can be referred that men will also

(A) constrict their arms and legs.
